The wind and rain are still with us so I have decided to retreat to my "room" and put up some photos of our cute wildlife and birds. This little fellow came right past where we were sitting on the patio one afternoon, sat there looking at us for a while and then just began to eat grass. It was lovely. His mum was not far away though. The two little fellows on the left decided they were going to have a scuffle up near the shed I guess to see who was boss. Then the rest of the family arrived so that afternoon was pretty busy.
The photos below are three of what we think were the same mother and baby. He was just new peeping out of the pouch.
This baby is just a little bit older, but from the colour of the mothers coat, it is a different mother and baby. Wish we could just go out and put ribbons round their wrists to be able to tell them apart.
Now the baby is getting bigger. Poor Mummy!
One day last week I happened to look out and here was this little fellow just lazying on the grass in the shade near the back door and where we leave water for them. Then he got up had a scratch, and nibbled a bit of grass and lied down again. It just looked like he was going to call this home, but alas, one wiggle of the ears from the little girl wallaby in the next paddock and he was gone again.
Awww. So cute.
