| Something to brighten my day |
I did not bring my camera so dont have photos of my bag, or travel. Found this lovely hydrangea in sample pics.
Well what a day my travel down was. The bus driver off loaded my bag to another passenger at Caboolture, so when we got to the transit centre.....no bag....well! that was enough for a panic attack I can tell you. With a train to catch, and daughter waiting at the other end, I can tell you I was not happy.
Forrrrtuuuunaaaaately, the people who the bus driver gave my bag to had mentioned that they were catching the northern train to Bundaberg later in the day, so he went through the tickets (which had names) and was able to get onto the station master at Caboolture station, and in the end, the bag was retrieved. Big sigh of relief!! but not without me almost falling in a big heap.
By the time I caught the train, the bus driver phoned me with this information but said I would have to collect it from Roma Street the next day. His explanation was that "these things happen from time to time". That meant I stewed and fretted most of the way to the Coast. until I realised it was their responsibility to get it to me not the reverse.
It only took a phone call to the "boss man" of the company, after I arrived here and the bag is being couriered down to me today.
HOWEVER!!!! did dah did dah....with no clothes apart from what I had on, and on the advice of daughter who advised me her brother probably would not appreciate me getting round in the nuddy..she took me to the shops where I bought a skirt, 2 tops, and underwear to tide me over, not at that stage knowing what was going to happen, except that I would not be able to leave the house once I got here for a few days. So alls well that ends well. I did have a hand luggage bag with me that contained my medications so all was not lost.
Daughter in law is quite incapacitated, but each day improves just a little..she has a "friend" similar to mine on her leg and uses crutches. Once the stitches come out on 23rd she will improve no end.
With respect to all, where the damn hell are those chinamen coming from that I keep running over...I dont even drive!!!!!!!!!!
(NB In case anyone does not realise it I am referring to a very very old fashioned saying that if you had a run of bad luck you "must have run over a chinaman"....)
