Bags

While browsing through my photos I came across some more of my bags...at one stage I had a fascination for them. I use them for keeping projects in, as well as the threads. That way I dont use the threads on another project before I get them finished.

I have made quite a few over the years, but have given them away .

I use this cream bag for my balls of cream Perle when I am working on a project of pulled thread or Schwalm or anything cream on cream. The design is a random arrangement of pulled thread stitches worked with Perle thread on cork linen.

This black on cream bag I use, of course for any blackwork, and keep my black Perle thread in it. When I am working on a project the project goes into the bag as well. It is worked with Black Perle No. 8 on Cork linen.

I made the cords for the three bags, as well as the little tassels and decorations

I did get a lot of satisfaction out of working this set because I had only just learned to do casulguidi work. Unfortunately the colour of the linen on the larger bag faded and went really quite dull so I dyed it a dull blue.

The threads , again are Perle, but used some variegated Minnamurra Perle as well. I used Dublin linen for this.
I have a project and the threads that go with it in that now and it is one of my "one day I will get to it " jobs. I am slowly working my way through that list.
